Lip plumpers contain ingredients that mildly irritate the skin and thus aid in the plumping process, such as menthol, wintergreen, ginger, and capsaicin, which causes a tingling sensation and causes your lips to swell. The mild sensation causes blood to rush to the surface of the lips, filling them out. They also aid in the retention of moisture on the skin's surface, giving the lips a swelling effect without causing irritation or reaction. They are made in the same way as lipstick or lip gloss, with similar ingredients such as moisturising agents, pigmentation, oil, and wax, and can be worn on a daily basis. Non-pigmented lip plumpers, on the other hand, can be used before applying lip colour.

Begin with smooth lips. Because dry and flaky lips do not reflect light, they appear smaller and may be more prone to irritation after applying the lip plumper. Exfoliating the lips before applying lip products also ensures a better application and a natural pink tint. Exfoliate your lips with a gentle scrub and a toothbrush. Before you reach for your lip plumper, prep and prime your lips with a lip primer. It hydrates and protects your lips from drying out. The primer also lightens lip pigmentation, blurs lip lines, and provides a smooth canvas on which to work. So, after exfoliating your lips, replenish the moisture by applying a lip primer. Now comes the fun part: after priming your lips, grab a lip liner and line them. Then, take your lip plumping products and apply them to your lips. Stay inside the lines and don't go over them because you only want your lips to swell and not the surrounding area. Wait for it to dry and the tingling sensation to fade after you've filled your lips. Remove any smudges and smears. And it's finished. They don't require any touch-ups, so you can go about your day with fuller lips.

We would not recommend using it while pregnant. The reason for this is that the product has not been tested in a similar setting. There is nothing in the product that could harm you or your baby, but we would advise against using it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are unsure, always consult your health care provider.

Even if you don't wear makeup or lip products, a lip scrub is necessary for keeping your lips looking healthy, full, and hydrated. Your lips, like your face, have a protective layer that keeps a balance of moisture. When the lips become dry and chapped, this layer loses its balance.

In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, extra virgin olive oil, and vanilla extract. Blend together with fingers, breaking up any knobs. Fill each container with 2 teaspoons scrub, tapping out any air pockets before covering. Using the tip of a cotton swab, apply a small amount of scrub to your lips.
